Christoph Martin is CEO at Georg Martin GmbH and volunteer within the Business Networking Work Group. Discover in this interview who is the person who inspired him the most and also, what kind of computer games he prefers to play.
Christoph, our previous guest in this series, Henrik Walter, asked you: “If you had to choose one person that really inspired you, who would it be and why?”
To be honest, it has been my father. He was a very wise man and inspired me to question the old ways of success, while leaving room to do otherwise. It was good talking to him and his questions where a good guidance for finding answers about whether we should remain the same or change.
What’s the best concert you’ve ever been to?
I must admit that I am not really a big fan of concerts. However, I do love music. Recently I visited some churches in Portugal and in one of them someone was playing the organ. In another one, four people were playing songs, accompanied by the same instrument. It was such a beautiful experience. Apart from that, I enjoy going to all types of musical events, from Jazz, Metal, to Classical, and Dance. They are all great in their individual style.
What’s your favorite board game?
Monopoly and chess, but I haven’t played in a long time. However, I could also mention Real-Time Strategy games on the computer.
What activity instantly calms you?
Sports – when I can play myself, and eating – when my blood sugar level is low.
Our next guest will be Joanna Gansel, Chair of the KYMC – what question have you always wanted to ask her?
Both in your professional and private life, how would you define success and which are the factors in order to achieve your goals?
